Online College Application Process

  • Browse through the application and read all the directions online before starting the actual process.
  • Submit your application before the rush, so the website does not crash from last minute traffic.
  • Follow-up with all the required supplemental material for each college.
  • Do not write your personal statement online. Take time to draft a personal statement in a word processing application, so you can copy and paste it online onceyou have had time to perfect your final version.
  • Do not forget to save your work as you complete the application.
  • Make sure your computer has the correct browser.
  • Disable popup blockers to insure that you can access all sections of the online application.
  • Submit a professional and valid e-mail address (bradforever@aolc.com is not a professional e-mail addresss). Most colleges will send correspondence to you via the e-mail address you provide in the application process.
  • Print out your application and proofread it before hitting the final “submit” button.
